Christmas Cherry Chocolate Trifle
  • 1 or 2 cans of red or black cherries
  • Ready-made chocolate cake
  • 1 or 2 tubs London Dairy Double Chocolate Ice Cream
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2-3 tbsp icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • For Decoration: Fresh cherries, chocolate pieces, powdered sugar and sugar candy

Note: Quantities of the ingredients depend on the trifle bowl used.

  • Choose a pretty glass trifle bowl
  • Pour the cherry and juice in a bowl
  • Break the cake into pieces.
  • Whip the cream until fairly thick, add icing sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Assemble the trifle by layering the London Dairy Double Chocolate Ice Cream, chocolate cake pieces, the canned cherry and juice. Finish with a layer of chocolate whipped cream.
  • Decorate with fresh cherries, chocolate pieces sugar candy and dust with powdered sugar
  • Chill well before serving
