Christmas Cherry Chocolate Trifle
- 1 or 2 cans of red or black cherries
- Ready-made chocolate cake
- 1 or 2 tubs London Dairy Double Chocolate Ice Cream
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2-3 tbsp icing sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- For Decoration: Fresh cherries, chocolate pieces, powdered sugar and sugar candy
Note: Quantities of the ingredients depend on the trifle bowl used.
- Choose a pretty glass trifle bowl
- Pour the cherry and juice in a bowl
- Break the cake into pieces.
- Whip the cream until fairly thick, add icing sugar and cocoa powder.
- Assemble the trifle by layering the London Dairy Double Chocolate Ice Cream, chocolate cake pieces, the canned cherry and juice. Finish with a layer of chocolate whipped cream.
- Decorate with fresh cherries, chocolate pieces sugar candy and dust with powdered sugar
- Chill well before serving
